daaah ah gini aja ni cd bagus banget isinya kumpulan program-program yg berlisensi GPL alias FLOSS a.k.a Free Libre Open Source Software alias gratiisss…tisss….tis… untuk installnya pun gak susah cukup klik next-next aja gak perlu susah nyari crack ato masukin serial number. Caranya sama seperti saat menginstal program biasa begitu masukin cd nya akan muncul menu browser, ada beberapa artikel, ebook dan tulisan tentang filosofi open source pokoknya what, where, when, why, who n how is open source lengkap dah  kemudian inti dari cdnya ada program2 yg tinggal di pilih trus klik install dan akan mucul install wizard seperti biasa n bla…bla……  selesai kita bisa langsung mulai belajar menggunakan program2nya.

Untuk belajar gak susah2 amat kok gak perlu duduk seharian trus ngutak-ngatik n setelah itu harus sudah mahir kalo gini mah bukannya jadi pinter malah bikin stress, seperti kata pepatah aja " ala bisa karena biasa " :D soal programnya bagus ato gak jangan ditanya lagi isinya TOP abizzzz (We include only the
highest quality programs, which have been carefully tested for
stability and which we consider appropriate for a broad audience.)

so…… tunggu apa lagii ……..

sekarang saatnya kita menanam kalo "ngebajak" terus kapan kita bisa menikmati hasilnya ??? tuinkk ngomong apa sih wakakakakka

The Open Cd

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

Tuxteacher2_overlord59_tuxThe OpenCD project aims to introduce users of MS-Windows to the
benefits of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).
We include only the
highest quality programs, which have been carefully tested for
stability and which we consider appropriate for a broad audience. We
provide a description and
screen-shots of each program, so you can get an idea of what it does
before installing. All these applications install and un-install
cleanly, so you can be comfortable testing them with the knowledge that
they will not adversely affect your system. The programs on the disc
are all distributed under an Open Source License (OSI approved), which
allows you to freely use and distribute them. You may even change the
programs using the source code, which we make available, and distribute
your own modified versions, provided you then in turn make the source
code available, and give appropriate credit to past contributors.

Open Source Software

Open Source Software (OSS) is provided with a license that gives the
end user the right to use it freely for private or commercial use. You
also have the right to
inspect and even modify the underlying source code. You can give away
or sell the original version you received or one with your
modification, provided that you then in turn pass on the modified
source code so that others can benefit from the changes you have made.
This last clause protects the developer’s work from unfair exploitation
by others, while allowing the source code to be released to the
community. You are not required to pay royalties to previous
developers, but you are still permitted to charge money for the sale of
OSS. This disc may have been given to you by a friend; or sold to you
for a small fee, and both are permitted.

If you have no interest in source code, you may ask
why the availability of this matters. One answer is that the release of
source allows external observers to inspect the true functioning of the
program, which means that you can be confident that the program treats
your private data with respect. A real problem with proprietary
software can be that your data is locked in to a software’s proprietary
file format, which means that you may eventually be forced to upgrade
to newer versions of that software to retain access to your data. This
does not happen with OSS, because when the source code for opening and
saving files is available, a third party can easily write an import
filter for the next generation of software, ensuring that your data
will always be available. Finally, the release of source code has in
some cases spawned large communities of volunteer developers who have
in turn provided the world with highly useful, and entirely free
software such as Linux, OpenOffice, and Mozilla. These are then
available free of charge to schools or anyone else who may not have a
large budget available for software. So, you can see that the freedom
of software is important for everyone, not just software developers.

The OpenCD Project

There is a staggering number of OSS projects out there. A typical source
(Freshmeat) lists
over 30.000 projects. There are also a vast number of Shareware and
Freeware programs available that you can freely download from the net.
However these do not qualify as OSS, because you do not have the right
to modify the underlying source code. Usually you are not even able to
inspect the source code, and often restrictions are placed your use of
the program, such as non-commercial use only.

Enter TheOpenCD project. We have made a small
collection of only the highest quality OSS for Windows, easily
available on a CD. When you insert the disc into your computer it
automatically launches a browser which will guide you through the
contents of the disc, presenting the various programs, and allow you to
easily install them. The programs are carefully selected to ensure
stability, ease of use and a clean install and un-install from your
computer. This CD is intended as a first introduction to the world of
OSS, but it is our hope that you will later go on to explore other
projects, and at some stage you may even want to try a whole new
operating system such as Linux. In the Further Resource section of this
disc we provide a list of other major OSS projects with links to their
web pages. There is also a selection of essays about Open Source which
should give you some more insight into the history and philosophy of
OSS.

The following applications are included on TheOpenCD 3.1.

Productivity

Internet/Networking

Multimedia

Damn Small Linux a.k.a. DSL

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

Damnsmall_1DSL is a very versatile 50MB mini desktop oriented Linux distribution.

Damn Small is small enough and smart enough to do the following things:

  • Boot from a business card CD as a live linux distribution (LiveCD)
  • Boot from a USB pen drive
  • Boot from within a host operating system (that’s right, it can run *inside* Windows)
  • Run very nicely from an IDE Compact Flash drive via a method we call "frugal install"
  • Transform into a Debian OS with a traditional hard drive install
  • Run light enough to power a 486DX with 16MB of Ram
  • Run fully in RAM with as little as 128MB (you will be amazed at how fast your computer can be!)
  • Modularly grow — DSL is highly extendable without the need to customize

DSL was originally developed as an experiment to see how many usable
desktop applications can fit inside a 50MB live CD. It was at first
just a personal tool/toy. But over time Damn Small Linux grew into a
community project with hundreds of development hours put into
refinements including a fully automated remote and local application
installation system and a very versatile backup and restore system
which may be used with any writable media including a hard drive, a
floppy drive, or a USB device.

DSL has a nearly complete desktop, and many command line tools. All
applications are chosen with functionality, size and speed in mind.
Damn Small also has the ability to act as an SSH/FTP/HTTPD server right
off of a live CD. In our quest to save space and have a fully
functional desktop we’ve made many GUI administration tools which are
fast yet still easy to use.
What does DSL have?

XMMS (MP3, CD Music, and MPEG), FTP client, Dillo web browser, links
web browser, FireFox, spreadsheet, Sylpheed email, spellcheck (US
English), a word-processor (FLwriter), three editors (Beaver, Vim, and
Nano [Pico clone]), graphics editing and viewing (Xpaint, and xzgv),
Xpdf (PDF Viewer), emelFM (file manager), Naim (AIM, ICQ, IRC),
VNCviwer, Rdesktop, SSH/SCP server and client, DHCP client, PPP, PPPoE
(ADSL), a web server, calculator, generic and GhostScript printer
support, NFS, Fluxbox window manager, games, system monitoring apps, a
host of command line tools, USB support, and pcmcia support, some
wireless support.

Linux Pros

A lot of the
advantages of Linux are a consequence of Linux’ origins, deeply rooted
in UNIX, except for the first advantage, of course:

  • Linux is free:

    As
in free beer, they say. If you want to spend absolutely nothing, you
don’t even have to pay the price of a CD. Linux can be downloaded in
its entirety from the Internet completely for free. No registration
fees, no costs per user, free updates, and freely available source code
in case you want to change the behavior of your system.

Most of all, Linux is free as in free speech:

    The
license commonly used is the GNU Public License (GPL). The license says
that anybody who may want to do so, has the right to change Linux and
eventually to redistribute a changed version, on the one condition that
the code is still available after redistribution. In practice, you are
free to grab a kernel image, for instance to add support for
teletransportation machines or time travel and sell your new code, as
long as your customers can still have a copy of that code.

  • Linux is portable to any hardware platform:

    A
vendor who wants to sell a new type of computer and who doesn’t know
what kind of OS his new machine will run (say the CPU in your car or
washing machine), can take a Linux kernel and make it work on his
hardware, because documentation related to this activity is freely
    available.

  • Linux was made to keep on running:

    As
with UNIX, a Linux system expects to run without rebooting all the
time. That is why a lot of tasks are being executed at night or
scheduled automatically for other calm moments, resulting in higher
availability during busier periods and a more balanced use of the
hardware. This property allows for Linux to be applicable also in
environments where people don’t have the time or the possibility to
control their systems night and day.

  • Linux is secure and versatile:

    The
security model used in Linux is based on the UNIX idea of security,
which is known to be robust and of proven quality. But Linux is not
only fit for use as a fort against enemy attacks from the Internet: it
will adapt equally to other situations, utilizing the same high
standards for security. Your development machine or control station
will be as secure as your firewall.

  • Linux is scalable:

    From
a Palmtop with 2 MB of memory to a petabyte storage cluster with
hundreds of nodes: add or remove the appropriate packages and Linux
fits all. You don’t need a supercomputer anymore, because you can use
Linux to do big things using the building blocks provided with the
system. If you want to do little things, such as making an operating
system for an embedded processor or just recycling your old 486, Linux
    will do that as well.

  • The Linux OS and Linux applications have very short debug-times:

    Because
Linux has been developed and tested by thousands of people, both errors
and people to fix them are found very quickly. It often happens that
there are only a couple of hours between discovery and fixing of a bug.

Linux Cons

  • There are far too many different distributions:

    "Quot
capites, tot rationes", as the Romans already said: the more people,
the more opinions. At first glance, the amount of Linux distributions
can be frightening, or ridiculous, depending on your point of view. But
it also means that everyone will find what he or she needs. You don’t
need to be an expert to find a suitable release.

    When asked,
generally every Linux user will say that the best distribution is the
specific version he is using. So which one should you choose? Don’t
worry too much about that: all releases contain more or less the same
set of basic packages. On top of the basics, special third party
software is added making, for example, TurboLinux more suitable for the
small and medium enterprise, RedHat for servers and SuSE for
workstations. However, the differences are likely to be very
    superficial. The best strategy is to test a couple of distributions;
unfortunately not everybody has the time for this. Luckily, there is
plenty of advice on the subject of choosing your Linux. One place is LinuxJournal, which discusses hardware and support, among many other subjects.  The Installation HOWTO also discusses choosing your distribution.

  • Linux is not very user friendly and confusing for beginners:

In light of its popularity, considerable effort has been made to make
Linux even easier to use, especially for new users. More information is
being released daily, such as this guide, to help fill the gap for
documentation available to users at all levels.

  • Is an Open Source product trustworthy?

    How
can something that is free also be reliable? Linux users have the
choice whether to use Linux or not, which gives them an enormous
advantage compared to users of proprietary software, who don’t have
that kind of freedom. After long periods of testing, most Linux users
come to the conclusion that Linux is not only as good, but in many
cases better and faster that the traditional solutions. If Linux were
not trustworthy, it would have been long gone, never knowing the
popularity it has now, with millions of users. Now users can influence
their systems and share their remarks with the community, so the system
gets better and better every day. It is a project that is never
finished, that is true, but in an ever changing environment, Linux is
also a project that continues to strive for perfection.

Doa seorang Bocah

Saturday, November 19th, 2005

Seorang bocah yang sangat ingin melanjutkan
sekolah, tetapi orang tuanya tidak mempunyai uang
untuk membiayai sekolahnya. Lagipula ibunya yang
sedang sakit membutuhkan biaya untuk membeli obat.
Akhirnya dia memutuskan untuk menulis surat kepada
Tuhan:

*********************
Kepada Yth
Tuhan
di Surga

Tuhan yang baik, saya mau melanjutkan sekolah,
tapi orang tua saya tidak punya uang. Ibu saya
juga sedang sakit, mau beli obat. Tuhan saya butuh
uang Rp.20000 untuk beli obat ibu, Rp.20000 untuk
membayar uang sekolah, Rp.10000 untuk membayar
uang seragam, dan uang buku Rp.10000. Jadi
semuanya Rp.60000 Tuhan.
Terima kasih Tuhan, saya tunggu kiriman uangnya.

Dari : Rio
*********************

Menerima uang tsb, Rio merasa sangat senang
permintaannya terkabul, walaupun yang di terima
hanya Rp.55000 Rio pun bergegas mengambil kertas
dan pensil, dan mulai menulis surat lagi:

*********************
TUHAN LAIN KALI KALO MAU KIRIM UANG, JANGAN LEWAT
POLISI, KARENA KALO LEWAT POLISI DI POTONG RP.5000!
*********************

Polisi : Tuiinkk……tuiiiinnnnkkkk……..GEDUBRAKKKK…..!!??!?!!

Behind Blue Eyes

Thursday, November 17th, 2005
No one knows what it’s like To be the bad man To be the sad man Behind blue eyes

And no one knows what it’s like To be hated To be fated To telling only lies

But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance That’s never free

No one knows what it’s like To feel these feelings Like I do And I blame you

No one bites back as hard On their anger None of my pain an’ woes Can show through

But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance That’s never free

Discover L.I.M.P. say it (x4)

No one knows what its like To be mistreated To be defeated Behind blue eyes

No one knows how to say That they’re sorry And don’t worry I’m not telling lies

But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance That’s never free

No one knows what it’s like To be the bad man To be the sad man Behind blue eyes.

In the clothes, all the grey I'll stay if you go away Concrete, tall as the sky Movement passing me by And you blush, what a rush Reminisce, cold crush Next door, ear to the wall All the tension made for the call

I wish, I wish, I wish it was all that easy I wish, I wish, I wish it was all that easy
